| A picture of our Oakwood Christmas tree courtesy of the four year olds. It looks better with the lights on. The kids think it is beautiful and I love that they decorated it all themselves. In fact, it gets more decorated every day. Update: Zoe at Something Edited is hosting a Parade of Trees. So here's a shot of the whole tree. Too bad I took it after the soccer medals were moved to a new location. They were hanging on the branches. It's sort of a work in progress.  |

I LOVE it when the kids decorate! They are totally doing our tree this year....
Me too :) I'll have to get a shot of the latest additions cause they add stuff constantly. Decorating the tree was one of my favorite things as a kid because my parents really just let us have at it. It wasn't picture perfect but it sure was memorable.

When we were in Oakwood last year, we did try to make things festive. . . but no tree. . . I love your kids' version. Reminds me of when I was a kid in Cuba and we weren't able to get a tree. . . my siblings and I dragged in a big, green palm frond, propped it in the corner and went to town decorating it!
(I think it depressed my mom, though. . . we ordered an artificial tree for the following year.)
Love the ficus tree, too cute. One of my boys has a ficus in his room, I'll have to get him to decorate it.
TulipGirl, A palm frond? How cool! I always wanted to decorate a sagebrush as a kid. Never happened. The image of you guys going to town decorating just makes me smile.
